Video: Kevin Love and Blake Griffin stage a Jenga rematch

I
n July, young All-Star power forwards Kevin Love and Blake Griffin faced off in a Jenga game as part of their involvement with the always relevant ESPY Awards. It was a thrilling battle full of all the trash-talking experience players have come to expect from Jenga.
The company liked it, too, because it's now hired both Love and Griffin for a new ad campaign detailing their rematch. And while I'm not sure how many people actually remember their ESPYs competition, it probably doesn't matter much when the spot features Griffin dunking a wooden block on top of the tower or Love spinning a piece on the tip of his finger. I'm pretty sure these are the most basketball-related activities we'll see out of these two for months.
On the other hand, these two players' on-court styles are particularly ill-suited for Jenga. Griffin is skilled, but he's best when he flies through crowds with no regard for human life. Similarly, Love works best when he's in the post bullying other players for rebounding position. Neither is known for their grace, the one quality that Jenga prizes over all others.
What I'm saying, basically, is that Ray Allen(notes) and Kevin Durant(notes) should be in the next Jenga ad. Please send me my consultant fee, Hasbro.
